HOW DO I KNOW MY INDUCER/EXHAUST MOTOR IS BAD?

There are SIGNS that the motor is about to die:

- Is there a loud grinding noise upon the start of your furnace?

- Is there a continuous grinding noise when the furnace is on?

- Is there water leaking out of the inducer motor?

If you answered yes to any of these furnace motor questions, you should probably buy a replacement ventor motor before your current one breaks and leaves you without heat in Canada.

Your heating technician should be able to catch this potential break down, when doing a furnace service if you are still uncertain if you need a new furnace motor.
